Job Description:/h3:
JOB TITLE: Help Desk
REPORTS TO: Senior IT Manager
LOCATION: North Kingstown, RI 02852
HOURS: 8:30am : 5:00pm

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service attributes and problem solving abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Create tickets, respond to tickets, and escalate tickets as necessary to the proper groups. Each ticket must have detailed troubleshooting documentation that explains the problem, work done on the problem and the resolution to the problem.
Work with senior IT staff on projects and troubleshooting issues.
Respond timely to staff requests when resolving issues.
Document changes within established parameters and escalate those which need higher level review.
Contribute knowledge and updated information to maintain the Knowledge base.
Follow set policies and procedures when assisting clients to ensure proper handling of requests.
Provide timely responses to client and management requests. Status updates on such requests need to be provided on a regular basis.
Demonstrates ability to take ownership of client issue with minimal assistance after initial training period.
Performs general clerical work as required, including but not limited to preparing reports, entering and retrieving computer data, answering the telephone, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
:Minimum of 1:2 years of related work experience, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and technical expertise.
Working knowledge of mobile devices to include iPhone, iPad, Surface, etc.
:Must be motivated, self:reliant, and able to work well in a team or group environment.
:Must have reliable transportation to and from workplace.
Demonstrated ability to multi:task and manage simultaneous time:sensitive issues.
Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in a manufacturing / production / warehouse environment
Previous Helpdesk Experience
HTML, HTML5, Dreamweaver
Mac OS, iOS

WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office environment; occasionally works in production area. High utilization of office equipment, phone, computer, fax, etc.
