Job Description:

The Department of STEM Education & Teacher Development seeks part-time lecturers to teach in our MAT and Ph.D. programs. At the MAT level, we seek instructors for our initial license and professional license courses. These include face-to-face and blended courses focused on topics including curriculum theory and history; teaching methods' educational foundations; sheltered English immersion; special education; and research for teachers. We also have opportunities for teaching mathematics and science content courses for teachers seeking their professional license. At the Ph.D. level, we are seeking instructors for first-year foundational courses focused on research methods and theories of mathematics and science education.


A Masters degree plus extensive teaching experience is required for all MAT courses. A Ph.D. (or equivalent) is preferred. For the Ph.D. courses, a Ph.D. in mathematics education or a related field as well as demonstration of an active research agenda is required. Teaching experience in K-12 schools and with diverse populations is preferred for all positions.
