maxon motor has more than 2000 employees and is the worldwide leading provider of precision drives up to 500 W. These drives are in use everywhere from deep inside the earth to the surface of the planet Mars.

The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing the sales relationship with customers in conjunction with a territory sales engineer, to effectively and promptly fulfill orders and returns, manage stock flow, and communicate effectively to develop and grow sales in their territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Manage Customer Accounts
* Answer specialized technical questions concerning the Company’s products and customer needs, including e-shop inquiries
* Prepare, name and store quotes based on current price policies
* Make decisions regarding pricing to be offered to customers based on assessment of customer history, size of order and creditworthiness
* Prepare sales orders and purchase orders; review customer PO for accuracy and store in CRM
* Assist in the establishment of customer credit terms and collection efforts, as needed
* Ongoing customer relationship building, including site visits (approx. 1-2 weeks per year)
* Promote sales to customers (i.e. suggest electronics when purchasing brushless motors)
* Provide back-up for other Inside Sales Coordinators and Sales Engineers, as needed
* Software Management, including quotes, opportunities, intercompany requests, contacts and log in contact software (CRM); enter and track customer communication and update sales potential
* Maintain data related to customer accounts in enterprise resource planning software (IFS) including but not limited to addresses, contact names, e-mails, phone numbers, customer part numbers, notes and document texts

• Inventory Management
* Determine timing and schedule of deliveries, including making judgments as to whether orders will be fulfilled through inventory or via a factory order
* Track order status and communicate to customers, expedite shipping when justified
* Track inventory for ‘kanban’ customers to insure standard turnover and no stockpiling

• Part Number Set Up
* Complete part number (p/n) request forms, assembly drawings, sales checklists and other documents and provide package to Basic Data
* Develop understanding of PN system and efficiently use with orders (e.g. raw or manufactured, etc.)

• Factory Communications
* Communicate with the factory regarding pricing, delivery, orders and special requests

• Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA’s)
* Qualify return request and issue RMA as warranted; forward information to Quality
* Communicate customer results of evaluations, if completed
* Oversee timely closure of RMA’s for the territory
* Identify customer’s with chronic return issues and work with Quality for resolution

• Sales Forecast
* Prepare and update to sales forecasts monthly and annually
* Proactively assist customers for reorder to meet their internal production needs

• Project Work
* Participate in group projects covering topics such as LEAN and continuous improvement

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
• AS/BS/BA Degree or previous experience in related field preferred
• Minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in customer service/inside sales or related field
• Technical education or experience in electro-mechanical market place a plus
• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with ability to make decisions
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate in the words of the end-user
• Microsoft Office functionality
