What you’ll be doing...

The role of a Junior Account Manager in Verizon Partner Solutions (VPS) is to develop and grow the business and sales relationships with certain named VPS customers. This individual will represent and sell the full portfolio of Verizon Partner Solutions Products, services and positioning/strategy to certain VPS partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Position and sell the full suite of VZB, VZT and fXO services including Ethernet, IP, PIP, VOIP, SCI, Colocation, Security, Professional Services, Mobility, FTTI and legacy TDM services such as Special Access and Sonet/MPL services.
  • Focus on strategic solution-based sales to meet/exceed all business revenue and CV sales targets.
  • Conduct proactive sales activities, including proactive needs assessment, applications development, proposal presentation, order negotiation and post-sales service requirements.
  • Prospecting, defining customer needs, proposal preparation and presentation and closing the sale.
  • Manage accounts on an ongoing basis. This includes frequent service follow-ups, problem solving, and emerging needs identification.
  • Negotiate customer contracts collaborating with internal cross functional partners from Product Line Management, Offer Management and Financial Management teams in order to achieve revenue growth and retention.
  • Responds to requests from customers for information, support, assistance, joint proposals, pricing, etc.
  • Supports others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.

Other duties as assigned

  • Negotiates customer contracts collaborating with internal cross functional partners from Product Line Management, Offer Management and Financial Management teams in order to achieve revenue growth and retention.
  • Expand the market awareness of our client through involvement in trade and commercial organizations.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes in the telecommunications industry through attendance of training, seminars and trade journals.
  • Responds to requests from customers for information, support, assistance, joint proposals, pricing, etc. Responds to demand sales requests.
  • Supports others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure attainment of sales and service objectives and other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in account development.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience building a base of business.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong negotiation and selling skills.
  • Sold network and data center solutions like advanced Ethernet network solutions selling, IP, security and partner resale solutions and voice and VOIP offerings.
  • The drive to exceed challenging sales targets.
  • Balanced multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
